今日は友達の奥さん、マキシンさんのお誕生日会にお呼ばれしてきました。
I went to Maxine’s birthday party who is my friend’s wife tonight.

パーティーこそ出会いの場であり、両若男女こういうところでお友達をつくるんですね。今日の新しいお友達、アレンさんとイレインさん夫妻。自称「おしゃべりマシーン」相手に、いいスピーキングの練習をさせてもらいました。
I found parties are good opportunities to make new friends. They’re my new friends Elaine and Allen. I’ve practiced English conversations with “chatterbox”.
さて、明日から仕事。１月、２月は忙しくなりそうです。
